ABOUT

My Story

My work is situated in an ecological, intersectional framework that recognizes that
individuals live within complex networks of learning, health, and community. Because of my
experience, I am interested in ways to improve justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace
so that all people have positive work experiences, thus impacting them to become life long employees
who feel supported. My personal and professional foundation in equity and diversity has provided me
with a solid base to continue work on ensuring that all individuals have access to safe work
environments where they feel valued and respected regardless of their skin color, sexual orientation,
gender, background etc.
I have been a proven leader in the non-profit sector for the past eight years. I would bring with me my expertise
in program evaluation and development; grant writing and oversight, expertise in developing
culturally inclusive professional development, and data-driven implementation to your program. I
have been a coach for educators assisting and supporting in the understanding of culturally
responsive pedagogy utilizing the practice based coaching model. I have established a solid reputation
for being reliable, clear headed, trustworthy, and collaborative. In addition I have provided workshop
trainings at a variety of conferences on how to make the workplace more inclusive as well as creating
professional development for the both Boulder Valley School District and Denver Public Schools on diversity, equity and inclusion. I have been consulted by a variety of community and professional organizations to facilitate their development of equity, diversity and inclusion at an
organizational level by creating trainings, webinars, providing consultations, and speaking at events.
Not only am I an advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion within the professional network, I am an
avid volunteer and member for numerous social justice organizations in Denver, such as, Environmental Learning for Kids (ElK), Conservation Colorado, Latino Outdoors, COLOR and GrowHaus. My JEDI leadership network is extensive and I am confident that I can establish robust professional networks that will support organizations in initiating and conducting successful J E D I related programs and organizational change work.
